HR Business Partner France

 

The role

 

The HR function is undergoing a transformation to better support the rapidly changing needs of Kindred. Key objectives of this will be:

 

  • To be more strategic in the offering of HR services to the business
  • To get the basics right more consistently and build scalable function
  • To improve capability and capacity in the operating model to advise and support on OD&D projects
  • To provide more localised and connected HR support to local offices

 

The HR business partner - France will be responsible to deliver the full range of HR services for France where we have an office of around 50 people.

 

This is a new role (HR has been delivered remotely or as part of another role previously) and is generalist by nature and will deliver recruitment and talent development activities as well as more generalist HR - through partnering with line management in their functional areas on all employee relations activities you will ensure delivery of the HR Roadmap, in conjunction with the Centres of Excellence (CoE) and the Lead HRBP. 

 

Driving best practice, employee engagement and working closely managers by guiding the with a full range of HR data to give an accurate picture of the people landscape.

 

The role also has a responsibility to continuously work to improve the full range of process, support, services and activities across the HR function at Kindred and to co-ordinate globally when required.

 

What you will do

 

  • Build strong relationships with the business and advise, guide and assist line management on employee relations issues, ensuring guidance is best practice, consistent across departments and commercially focused
  • Work with line managers to ensure they are aware of all HR processes and policies and they understand what their role is for each one; guide and support them and ensure they know where to find all relevant information
  • Work to deliver all aspects of the HR Roadmap. This includes but not limited to; Staff budgeting (Opex), Performance Management, Salary Review and bonus processes (calibration), Employee Engagement and Role Benchmarking
  • Assist in the implementation of the local people plans and support the engagement of management and employees in this direction
  • Ensure the Talent Development strategy is supported with a focus on maximising potential and discovering talent. Carry out local training on HR topics, such as Goal setting, Bonus evaluations, HRIS and support other training as required in close collaboration with the CoEs
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure we're utilising all global tools available for France and for best practice advise
  • Understand at a high level the range of local HR processes so cover can be provided during periods of high volume, absence and annual leave in the team
  • Understand the HR System, how information is input and how to extract data and reports from the system for the business
  • Work with the wider business and HR Team to support key projects and their people impact
  • Lead certain projects (assigned by the Lead HRBP) and work with HR and Business stakeholders to successfully deliver the project
  • Understand all HR processes so cover can be provided during periods of high volume, absence and annual leave in the team
  • Use knowledge of the business to ensure that the system data integrity is high, being the key approval point for the business units you support
  • Maintain HR policies that are aligned with global policies, complying with relevant laws and our Kindred values and culture
  • Ensure compliance to local/EU employment regulations in all activities undertaken and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Support the recruitment of a range of roles across the business
  • Support employer branding activities in France in conjunction with the global strategy
  • Partner with managers to support them through the full recruitment life cycle focusing on enabling good selection decisions in a timely fashion
  • Deliver innovative and fresh approaches to candidate sourcing
  • Search for, and networking with, candidates from relevant databases, our own networks, LinkedIn and forums to ensure a healthy pipeline of candidates
  • Be accountable for the ensuring the Talent Development strategy is delivered at a local level in collaboration with the COE. From needs analysis at a local level to delivery and evaluation of interventions leveraging a combination of delivery by SMEs, External Providers and yourself. Carrying out activity across the full talent cycle supported by the CoE in: Onboarding, L&D, Performance Management and Succession

Your experience

 

  • Proven experience working in a similar role, or a HR role that has worked closely with advising and guiding the business
  • Good knowledge of French employment law and translating this to HR policies and practice
  • Experience working within a generalist role
  • Experience of hands on full life cycle recruitment
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent organisation skills and verbal/written communication skills
  • Great time management and able to manage multiple pieces of work at the same time
  • A strong focus on delivering great customer service to internal customers
  • Have the ability to manipulate and work confidently with Microsoft packages
  • Experience with using and mastering HR Systems
  • Able to learn new software packages quickly
  • Education to degree level (preferably in HR but not mandatory)
  • Fluent in French and English
