In this role, you will be an important member of the team as you will be responsible for ensuring top quality with each release and drive the automation work forward. As we are using JavaScript as our main programming language and Cypress as our Automation Testing Framework, we see that you have solid knowledge and experience in JavaScript and Cypress or equivalent automation frameworks and that you have a passion for problem solving, mentoring and knowledge sharing to be successful in the role.

What you will do

Automation: Champion automation efforts with a "shift-left" mindset to catch and address bugs early during development 
Solution Design: Craft innovative test automation solutions that meet both business and technical requirements, and proactively suggest enhancements to existing requirements 
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to best practices by identifying opportunities for improvement, such as enhancing logging and performance testing 
Team Collaboration: Be a committed team player, taking ownership of team goals and actively participating in achieving them 
Domain Knowledge: Over time be the product expert of the team and sounding board when it comes to impact of changes
Quality Assurance: Implement best practices in quality assurance, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) 
Decision-Making: Confidently make decisions that impact the team's success and progress

To excel in this role we believe you have..

Several years' experience with frontend automation testing using JavaScript/Typescript, as well as experience in automation testing tools like Cypress or equivalent automation frameworks
Good understanding of QA best practices and strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience and knowledge on how to create an automation framework from scratch, taking full responsibility from ideation through to implementation, execution & maintenance
