The Role 


As a Sportsbook Operational Compliance Executive, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing our Compliance portfolio, focusing on both daily operations and long-term strategic goals. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through diligent monitoring, efficient delivery, and implementation of compliance measures.


In this role, you will work closely with local markets and engage with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Sportsbook operations and process management. You must be adaptable, highly motivated, and be able of taking ownership of ongoing projects while efficiently managing daily tasks in a dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic control and compliance tools by leveraging both internal resources and optimizing third-party supplier partnerships.
  • Evaluate product performance specifically from the perspective of compliance offerings, using metrics such as adherence to regulatory standards, audit results, incident reports, and customer feedback on compliance-related features.
  • Work autonomously with governance and oversee supplier performance.
  • Enhance data utilization, trend analysis, and forecasting for actionable compliance improvements and recommendations.
  • Independently resolve complex compliance issues and integrate solutions.
  • Support audits and supplier governance reporting with our Legal and Control & Compliance teams.
  • Exercise judgment on sensitive and time-dependent matters, resolving operational, and commercial sportsbook compliance at regional and global levels.
  • Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and data protection standards across our sportsbook product.
  • Contribute to the future setup and development of the department.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are in place and proactively managed.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Sportsbook team.
  • Clearly articulate the role and scope of Control & Compliance across various departments and throughout the organization.

 

Experience

  • Proven knowledge or experience in sports betting and/or operational compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solutions-oriented with a positive mindset and hands-on approach to solving complex operational and process issues.
  • Proficiency in key Office tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive).
  • Basic understanding of real time reporting tools.
  • Strong English language skills, both spoken and written; additional language skills are beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, network with external suppliers, and collaborate globally as part of a broader team.
  • Proven experience working cross-departmentally with teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic work.
