The role

As we continue to improve our growing platform, we're looking for a motivated Performance Engineer with excellent hands-on skills to join our TechOps team.

Initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy are essential skills for this role. The Performance Engineer should be able to reliably, lead continuous improvement culture, and have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary stakeholders.

Critical attributes for this role also include proactiveness, ability to quickly learn and pick up complex component integrations, manage many competing priorities and think outside the box.

You will know the development life cycle better than the back of your hand including Agile methodologies.

What you will do

  • Infrastructure (Couchbase, Elastic, Kafka, Solace, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Platform (K8, Isitio, AWS, OpenStack).
  • Source control (any git based tool).
  • Deployment tools (Jenkins).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and learn quickly, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Gaming industry experience is desirable (Not mandatory).
  • Experience in test automation design with Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery tools like TeamCity, Bitbucket.

 

Your experience

  • Demonstrated experience with various performance testing tools such as JMeter (essential , Neoload , Load-runner, Gatling etc.
  • Hands-on experience with analysing performance metrics associated with throughput, latency, memory, CPU, disk & network and the ability to debug bottlenecks associated with any of them
  • Skilled in both the art and science of benchmark creation and measurement and modelling of system behaviour under load
  • Experienced designing Load, stress, Endurance, spike workload
  • Experience with Application performance monitoring tools such as Elastic APM , Instana , Newrelic , App Dynamics, Datadog (any 1 preferred)
  • Should be able to work/co-ordinate individually with engineering teams
  • Be a champion of change and innovation to improve all aspects of testing.
  • Support continuous integration through automation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven command of various software testing methods, levels, types, and processes and where they fit in the overall system and produce development lifecycles.
