You'll be joining a team of UX professionals from varying backgrounds that work to create industry-leading experiences across all our channels. We in the UX department play a crucial role in driving a customer-first approach, where we strive to exceed our customer, regulator, and commercial expectations.

 

As a UI Designer, you'll be contributing towards a key area of the overall user experience. In this specific area, you'll work closely in a cross-functional team to deliver a world class experience.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Create high-quality, visually engaging design solutions for new and existing websites/apps
  • Produce prototypes and define micro interactions to add the delight factor and enhance the overall user experience
  • Collaborate closely with UX specialists to solve digital problems, ensuring clarity of visual language, best practice application and brand alignment Apply a ‘test and learn' approach that puts the customer at the centre of our solutions
  • Contribute towards and align with a multi-brand design system
  • Present work to business stakeholders, clearly articulating rationale behind design decisions
  • Work closely with Developers to ensure designs are delivered on time, to specification and in line with stakeholder expectations
  • Build strong working relationships with the wider UX team ensuring our cross functional skillsets are utilised as effectively as possible
  • Monitor and share knowledge on emerging technologies, trends within UX and the gambling industry
  • Contribute to the advancement and exposure of UX understanding within Kindred Group

 

You'll need the following skills, knowledge, and experience

 

  • Knowledge in the practice of user centred design
  • Experience in the creation of cross channel digital design solutions (Responsive / Adaptive, Native Apps, Emails)
  • Practical knowledge of UI / Prototyping tools and their correct application (Figma, Sketch, Principle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of industry best-practice
  • Experience working with Design Systems, Style guides and Brand guidelines
  • Production of design documentation for efficient development handover
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS, JS and CMS's
  • Experience working with and running user research
  • Experience delivering a multi-brand, multi-product and multi-channel product
  • Experience working within an agile environment
  • Experience working with business stakeholders
  • An understanding of business and commercial objectives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Energetic and friendly, with an appetite to learn and educate
  • A team player who can work independently whilst managing your own time
