Job purpose/summary

Kindred operates in a highly regulated and complex market and excelling in Compliance and Sustainability is one of the fundamental pillars in Kindred's strategy. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate the regulatory submissions and approval process for Kindred's US Markets as a member of the US Compliance Team. In doing so, you will work closely with US Regulators and Kindred's business partners to ensure adherence and compliance with all applicable Sports Betting and iGaming regulations. The Technical Compliance Officer will work with our third-party platform providers, product suppliers and other business operations to incorporate regulatory technical requirements for efficient approvals and compliant operations.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work with Third Party Product providers to prepare State, Tribal and/or independent test lab regulatory submissions
  • Manage and coordinate technical regulatory submissions and the regulatory incident process through to completion
  • Manage documentation required to support all regulatory submissions internally and with third parties
  • Maintain a structural process to ensure only approved software versions are deployed into each regulated market
  • Work with internal and external Product teams and QA Team to ensure products and solutions conform to regulatory requirements
  • Assist with reporting and maintaining regulatory relations for Kindred US
  • Evaluate testing procedures to meet regulatory specifications where applicable
  • Consult with the VP Regulatory Affairs, as necessary, to understand regulatory requirements and communicate effectively with them, seeking appropriate guidance if and when required.
  • Stay informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes
  • Manage a wide variety of technical compliance audit requests from casino partners, regulators, and internal teams as assigned to you
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by the VP Regulatory Affairs and as required by the needs of the business.
  • Build a close working relation with your key internal business stakeholders, providing all-round support, thereby positioning Kindred as a trustworthy partner who puts compliance first throughout its operations.
  • Actively use and master established Kindred processes and tools (Kindred Compliance Framework, Jira, etc.) while exploring innovative ways of working that increase scalability and efficiency 
  • Invest in a strong, mutual relation with your peers across the group and exchange best practices and learnings via frequent cross-departmental meetings and structural information sharing

What have you done?

  • 3 to 5 years of experience of Gaming Experience
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret regulations and technical requirements
  • Engagement with Regulators, product suppliers and Independent Test Labs (GLI and BMM) 
  • Building relationships within all levels and disciplines both internal and external to the organization
  • Sustaining and improving a compliance culture within Kindred US
  • Experience with responding to audit requests
  • Communicates effectively at all levels 
  • Can establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners 
  • Is detail oriented and able to think outside the box  
  • Can work in a dynamic fast-paced industry and organization 
  • Demonstrated experience in simultaneously successfully handling different responsibilities, in a high-pressure environment and against strict deadlines, and building on synergies between various teams and stakeholders 
  • A hands-on, versatile and well-organised “Do'er” who goes the extra mile, is a genuine team player and breathes the Kindred values 
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills, team player by nature
