What the automation tester will do

· “You Design it, You Build It, You Test It, You Run It, You Tweak It” this is our ethos and the test automation engineer will be expected to take part in the full software life cycle to ensure reliability and uptime of the production environment

· Participating in design discussions with your colleagues to find great solutions to complex engineering challenges

· Discussing with architects on upcoming projects and propose solutions as needed

Tools, environments and methods:

· Testing: TestNG, Junit, Mockito

· Development: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JMS, Kafka, JSON, Oracle

· Monitoring: Grafana, influxDB & Splunk

· Pipeline: Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Continuous delivery

· Agile and lean values

Experience

· The experienced test automation engineer can drive technical solutions from design to production

· Creating test automation for scalable software in a distributed architecture

· Thinking about what is good for the products in the long term when you make design decisions

· Helping set the technical expectations on the whole team by both producing and setting high expectations on the team delivery

· Mentor and onboard new team members

· Being a role model in behavior (communication, collaboration – within and across teams) with a positive mindset

· Being proactive in communication towards all stakeholders including team

· Being experienced at solving challenging problems in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

· Being passionate and experienced with backend testing
