About Product Design team

We're the largest design team at Kindred. Our responsibilities involve problem definition and understanding, and we explore different concepts and deliver new features and experiences for users across our brands.

As a Senior Product Designer you will play a central role in establishing UX presence in the newly found Bangalore office. Whilst the role is hybrid, we do expect you to come into the office at least 3 times per week to help build a company culture. You will work closely with global UX disciplines, local tech teams and business stakeholders to ensure outcomes are insight driven, well explored and are in line with our design framework. The aim is to build up a team over the long run, so if you are ambitious and want to take your career to the next level, then this role is for you!

What you will do

  • Gather data, insights, technical constraints, business requirements, and market-specific regulator needs to make evidence-based design and architecture decisions.
  • Use your experience and our multi-brand design system to deliver high quality user flows, concepts, prototypes, and carefully documented design solutions.
  • Contribute to defining visions and roadmaps which considers both user needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with your design team and wider community to transform ideas into useful features and multi-channel experiences.
  • Work closely with other Product Designers, Content Designers, UX Researchers, Product Owners and Developers within our end-to-end UCD design framework.
  • Clearly present your outcomes, both written and verbally, using story telling techniques, to different stakeholder groups.
  • Build strong relationships and trust, ensuring we get the best from both our team members and those we work closely with.

What we need from you

  • Be a champion of a user-centric approach with an ability to proactively design meaningful features and experiences.
  • Have proven experience in Product Design from a customer-centric area.
  • Craft easy to use, accessible, and modular designs that can scale to millions of users.
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions whilst having the bigger picture in mind.
  • Provide and receive actionable feedback from UX experts, business stakeholders and developers.
  • Be a natural collaborator with diverse teams in a multi-faceted, complex and change prone environment.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with great storytelling and the ability to explain the rationale behind your design decisions.
  • Expert knowledge of Figma (or Sketch / Adobe XD) and its core features such as auto-layout, component variants and libraries.
  • Help develop, guide and support more junior team members.
