Senior Legal Counsel France (6 months Maternity Cover) French Speaker


We are looking for a highly motivated counsel (preferably French qualified) with at least 5 years' experience in similar roles both in-house and in a law firm to handle legal and compliance matters for the French market on regulatory issues, consumer law, contract law and various other subjects.

What will you be doing?

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Managing the relationship with the regulator;
  • Reviewing, negotiating and drafting various agreements (IT, advertising, ambassador, purchase, T&Cs.) with suppliers, alongside with the relevant teams;
  • Supervising advertising and promotional campaigns (onsite and offsite);
  • Managing customer complaints;
  • Handling and keeping track of litigation/settlement cases and other administrative procedures;
  • Ensuring compliance with the GDPR, data protection impact assessments, subject access right, deletion request and all other data protection related matters;
  • Managing regulatory projects, follow up on local regulatory developments;
  • Advising the line organization on, and securing overall compliance with local laws and regulations, mitigating potential risks;
  • Providing legal advice and supporting the business.


Who are you?

You have an extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Commercial, E-commerce, Intellectual Property, IT & Software, Media & Technology, Regulatory.

To accomplish the mission and fulfill the role, the function requires the following skills and competences:

  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements in France;
  • Experience in working with different areas of the business: Corporate, Commercial and Tech;
  • Strong analytical and decisive skills, with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives to achieve organizational goals while maintaining accuracy and quality;
  • A hands-on, versatile and well-organised “Doer” who has proven to always go the extra mile, is a genuine team player and breathes the Kindred values and has a wide network of internal and external stakeholders, able to represent Kindred's best interests in various internal and external forums;
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills, team player able to make fast and complex decisions and ensure buy-in from other business stakeholders based on a mutually respectable relation;
  • Understanding of industry trends, both sector specific as digital in general, and ability to proactively translate them into the Kindred reality;
  • Deep understanding, implementation and contribution to the LeCoR Value Chain collaborative model;
  • Ability to foster open and pro-active relationships with direct functional stakeholders;
  • High level of autonomy;
  • 5 years' experience both in-house legal and in law firms. Ideally coming from a digital industry with a B2C model;
  • Languages : French (native), English (professional); additional languages appreciated but not essential.
