Senior AML Analyst

Job Description Summary

As a Senior AML Analyst, you will identify and monitor suspicious activities and transactions in the US, reporting them to the respective authorities in close collaboration with the BSA/AML Officer and the Player Sustainability Operations Manager. Your knowledge will assist the team in the US in maintaining and building upon a strong BSA and anti‐money laundering governance.


Duties and responsibilities

    • Ensure timely, efficient reporting of suspicious transactions to relevant authorities on behalf of Kindred Group in the US within the designated timeframes.
    • Maintain records including Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation to enable court or police closed accounts to be recovered easily
    • Execute instructions received from the Player Sustainability Operations Manager, the BSA/AML Officer and the Deputy General Counsel
    • Keep up to date with bank secrecy act, money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends
    • Participate in writing policies, processes and procedures related to BSA and AML
    • Assist in the ongoing tuning of Kindred Group's money laundering governance framework in the US, including identifying any gaps, proposing and delivering solutions
    • Review High Risk cases and follow escalation procedures
    • Provide direction and guidance to Kindred Group's employees in the US on remediation action for high- risk accounts
    • Be aware of the geographical risks of each state to inform, detect and action as required
    • Implement changes to the sanctions list and any other changes from authorities such as the Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs)


How you will be measured?

    • Ensure Suspicious Activity/Transaction Reports are compiled as per Kindred Group's standard before submission
    • Meeting deadlines
    • Maintaining BSA/AML compliance by ensuring that we do not have any FIU warnings
    • Maintenance of a consistent BSA/AML approach in line with Kindred's risk appetite for different states
    • Regular performance reviews with your line manager
    • Acting in line with Kindred Group values
    • Successful completion of all relevant training and other compliance activities that support Kindred's sustainable and responsible growth


What have you done?

    • Previous experience in BSA/AML governance is essential
    • Experience with implementing compliance requirements, policies and procedures
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Proven ability to work independently and to liaise with other departments
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
