The role


Public Affairs at Kindred is part of Legal Compliance and Risk department (LeCoR). Public Affairs mission is to ensure long-term sustainable regulations that support Kindred´s overall strategic objectives  by securing and raising awareness about sustainable regulation that is based upon digital market reality and consumer demand.

The responsibility of the Public Affairs Manager in Sweden is to establish Kindred as the trusted expert and preferred speaking partner by stakeholders having an interest in or else may influence policy making in areas that have effect on Kindred´s business. This is done in close cooperation with other teams in LeCoR and other stakeholders in the company.

Public perception is vital. Public perception influences the perception of policymakers. Aside LeCoR therefore Corporate Communication and Investor relations are necessary alignment nodes to Public Affairs.

The Public Affairs Manager will work alongside senior Group Business Leaders  at the intersection of legal, public affairs, communication, compliance, sustainability, business and technology to ensure Kindred's interests.


What you will do


  • The Public Affairs Manager will function as internal consultant for the Group, warranting optimal business conditions for the Group's commercial and corporate objectives, constantly liaising with the relevant internal stakeholder
  • The Public Affairs Manager has a vital role in flagging and escalating local issues to Senior Management in order to protect the Group's interests, most notably in the field of policy making, regulation, compliance and communications
  • Intelligence on policy developments effecting Kindred Group business opportunities
  •  External stakeholder management
  • Own and Drive the local Public Affairs strategy and activity planning and execution.
  • Build trust via external representation of Kindred Group
  • Manage projects on Public Affairs Group level
  • Manage and drive Kindred´s membership in local gambling trade association.

Your experience


  • A hands-on, versatile and well-organized “Do-er” who has proven to always go the extra mile, is a genuine team player and breathes the Kindred values and has a wide network of internal and external stakeholders, able to represent Kindred's best interests in various internal and external fora
  • Have a strategic horizontal mindset and ability to see the bigger picture, with pragmatic hands-on and innovative solution-oriented approach.
  • A professional with a Governance outlook and the capacity to act with integrity and honesty for a large listed Group.
  • Make fast and complex strategic decisions and ensure buy-in from other business leaders based on a mutually respectable relation.
  • Understanding of industry trends, both sector specific as digital in general, and consumer experience in relation to customer service mindset
  • Having the capacity to assimilate and simplify complexity while identifying the fundamental issues are key attributes.
  • + 5 years' experience from politics, policy making, Public Affairs, Communication, Legal/Compliance or similar.
  • Fluent English and native Swedish
