Player Risk Analyst


The Role


The Player Risk Analyst role will be focusing on reviewing transactions and customers, ensuring our customers are playing responsibly and that business activities are conducted in line with all applicable regulatory laws and regulations. The Player Risk team also assist in mitigating fraudulent activity, whilst maintaining a positive customer experience through the entire lifecycle.



What you will do


  • Careful monitoring of possible money laundering transactions and communication of any suspicions to the PS Management Team
  • Assisting the PS Management Team with regular and ad-hoc monitoring of those business processes that have a regulatory impact (source of funds/wealth) 
  • Investigate suspicious alerts (internal and external) with full analysis and follow-up
  • Provide support for responsible gaming policies and procedures and onsite assistance to customers to ensure Kindred Group's Player Sustainability and Responsible Gaming Strategy is promoted and correctly represented
  • Day-to-day handling of the tools to identify players exhibiting behaviors that may indicate a issues regarding gambling, including activity analysis, basic source of funds/AML checks
  • Proactively monitor and review players' accounts to identify potential risk and ensure the appropriate level of interaction is conducted.
  • Detect changes in customer gambling behavior and financial transactions and take appropriate actions in accordance with our Responsible Gaming/Anti Money Laundering procedures and policies 
  • Determine fraudulent activity and act according to agreed procedures with regards to transaction acceptance, account blocking and further checks. Reactively and proactively conduct analysis of transactional and customer records to link unidentified transactions and accounts to known fraudulent activity
  • Follow up any fraud & payment-related issues or customer queries
  • Undertake necessary work, including dealing with customers and record-keeping, as well as other tasks set out by their line manager
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by management
  • Liaise with Customer Services and Payments on a daily basis and professionally handle all escalations, ensuring we minimize contacts, empower CS agents and strive for first contact resolution
  • Constantly embrace the team objectives and work on your personalised goals on a quarterly basis


Your experience


  • Be an effective team player and should show willingness to contribute and assist the Player Sustainability Department
  • The selected candidate will be expected to have an eye for detail, be very accurate and discreet, have an analytical way of approaching problems, with good communication skills, and be computer literate
  • Experience of working within a regulated industry is advantageous, but not essential
  • Passion or strong interest towards responsible gambling would be an asset 
  • Be prepared to work in a flexible work schedule, which can include evenings and weekends
  • Ideally an experienced person from within the gaming industry, with financial or gaming experience on products such as poker, or casino
  • Strong analytical ability as well as good numeracy and PC skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
