The role

Key Responsibilities


Payroll Preparation

  • Prepare all EUT pay file uploads under your responsibility and provide  data to Safeguard Global on a timely basis in line with the payroll schedule ​
  • Responsible to inform the business  of the payroll timetable and deadlines​

Payroll Disbursement

  • Upload payment files to the bank for each payroll as well as local payroll tax payment​

Payroll Accounting

  • Process journal entries (regular payroll, special payments and other) into ERP as required based on Journal report provided by Safeguard Global​

Perform local payroll reporting

  • Responsible to prepare all local payroll reporting to local authorities accurately and in due course​
  • Responsible to keep up to date with changes in local payroll regulations​

Project Accounting 

  • Perform the project accounting for costs relating to projects and split the costs into OPEX or CAPEX according to guidelines​
  • Chase stakeholders for submission of complete and timely time sheets​

Year-end audits

  • Responsible to provide accurate information relating to payrolls to auditors during interim and annual financial audit​

Safeguard Implementation

  • Support the Group Payroll Manager and HR team in the transition from our current payroll provider to our Global Payroll Provider for each location on our roadmap​

Employee Enquiries

  • Support the local HR teams with queries related to specific deductions, tax codes, national insurance/social security deductions ​

Other related finance or payroll activities

Skills and Experience Required

  • +3 years' experience within a similar Payroll position, completing end-to-end payroll​
  • Level 3 CIPP qualification highly desirable.​
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a high volume role​
  • Ability to meet deadlines and objectives​
  • Strong attention to detail skills proficient on EMEA & APAC payrolls​
  • be confident in handling and managing the vendor relationship​
  • be able to document process for best practice and look at developing process documents​
  • want to work in a dynamic and busy environment​
  • Experience with Safeguard is advantage
