Organisational Design & Change Lead

 
Reports to: Head of Organisation Effectiveness
 
The role

 

The HR function is undergoing a transformation to better support the rapidly changing needs of Kindred. Key to this will be a greater focus on strategic HR, whilst not losing sight of improving and solidifying services delivered by operational HR.  This role will form part of a small centre of expertise focused on organisation effectiveness.

 

We are looking for an experienced OD and change lead to work with the business to deliver OD change projects, ensuring that OD change delivers the desired strategic outcomes, while engaging key stakeholders effectively to ensure the change is well received. 

 

What you will do

 

Organisation design

 

  • Work with the business leads to define, drive and deliver OD projects, ensuring consistency of approach to OD across the organisation
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on org design principles and industry best practice
  • Ensure that the core Kindred policies, guidelines and operating model are maintained
  • Work closely with the Global HRBPs to plan and implement OD changes
  • Evolve and maintain the OD Capability Programme and toolkit in liaison with Talent Development Team
  • Provide advice and support on how to effectively use OD assets 
  • Provide advice and support on how to manage OD projects
  • Maintain a set of issues and risks regarding OD work
  • Work with the broader HR team to ensure that a baseline of the organisation including organisation charts, job descriptions and job architecture are maintained

 

Change

 

  • Provide change management expertise and delivering change activity to ensure successful execution of organizational initiatives
  • Carry out change impact assessment, producing change plans and outlining appropriate interventions
  • Work closely with the business leads in developing and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies and plans
  • Develop communication strategies and plans, producing communication materials, communicating with stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Talent Development team on training strategy development, training needs analysis, determination of any required training tools
  • Assess risks associated with proposed changes to minimise impact on other BAU activities
  • Assess the readiness for change of the business and advising on activities to embed the change within the business

 

Your experience

 

  • Experience delivering elements of OD projects independently, on time and to budget
  • Previous experience of working on major change programmes managing all aspects of change and readiness
  • Experience of developing and delivering plans for change activities and ensuring they are integrated into the programme and other related change activities
  • Has excellent understanding of communication and training practices and has designed and developed materials and delivered in line with planned dates
  • Excellent understanding of business readiness tools and techniques
  • The ability to analyse and make judgement calls on competing requirements, recommending courses of action to senior leaders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish relationships, engage with stakeholders and influence through all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of working sensitively and proactively with employees experiencing change
  • Confident and self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you will be able to liaise effectively with all levels of management and other businesses and able to build and maintain strong relationships with a large number of stakeholders, customers, leaders as well as team members.
  • You will have the ability to generate creative solutions to problems.
  • Has strong planning, communication and presentation skills, is proficient in project management, and familiar with programme management.
  • Has a sound understanding of risk management.
  • Has people management / development experience
