The Role-

We are looking for a Line Manager who can help to further develop our people management practices. The position is within Tech and Application Management and Operations (AMO) which manages areas such as platform orchestration, automation, infrastructure, performance, networks, and databases. We deliver at a fast pace, adopting agile methodologies with a strong focus and requirements around quality, time, and compliance.

The line organisation within AMO works as an internal partner to the Product Teams, which means that the primary focus of a Line Manager is to support the engineers and the great culture within AMO, helping both individuals and the overall organisation. 

Your main stakeholders will be engineers and product managers. In this role, you will be managing around 15-20 engineers and supporting the product teams within which they work within. 

 

What you will do

  • Run one of our line teams of highly qualified engineers.
  • Regular 1:1s to ensure your direct reports are motivated, happy, and engaged.
  • Provide continuous feedback to engineers.
  • Motivate, inspire, and drive innovation and a continuous improvement culture.
  • Build trust and resolve conflicts.
  • Develop and help people reach their maximum potential through clear targets and coaching.
  • Be responsible for a team of around 15-20 people.
  • Grow a healthy and collaborative culture in line with Kindred's values.
  • Be part of a team of Line Managers who continuously evolve culture and organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and other Senior Leaders in AMO in cross-team initiatives.
  • Be responsible for resource planning.
  • Play a key role in retaining competence and recruiting top talent.
