Lead Machine Learning Engineer

About the role #LI-Hybrid

You will be leading a team of Machine Learning Engineers embedded within the Data Science (DS) team to enable efficient deployment of models as data products.
As an online high transaction business, Kindred Group collects a huge amount of data. This includes data about our customer's betting and game play activity, their interests, motivations and much more.
Some of our project categories are personalisation and recommendation, customer propensity modelling, cybersecurity, risk management, anti-money-laundering (AML), entity resolution, payment/transaction fraud detection, and problem gambler detection.
The DS team is part of a larger data and analytics group that numbers around 100 people within Tech. This wider group has separate functions for Data Analytics, BI, and Data Engineering/Pipeline. While you will sit within the DS team, you will build and maintain close relationships with the relevant tech teams.
At Kindred, we are developing a Model as a Service platform to manage Machine Learning model lifecycles. This capability will be key to ensuring the outputs from the DS team can scale with the demand for Machine Learning products within the business.
You will work closely with data scientists to ensure success when moving research into production. You will have experience deploying solutions as batch, streaming, and as a service. You will understand which solutions are appropriate to deploy in different contexts. You will be able to offer advice and input during the research phase to ensure that proposed solutions are suitably scalable, performant, and timely.
