The role of the Lead Business Partner is to develop the relevant business partnering functions and put Finance at the heart of decision making. The role will require strong communication and influencing skills as well as being able to manage an experienced team and work with Senior Stakeholders. 

•Lead and represent the Commercial & Product Finance Business Partnering function by proactively managing the relationship with all relevant Execs and Senior Leaders.
•Build and Lead a high performing team of Business Partners.
•Overall accountability for setting the teams objectives/OKRs in line with Group Strategy (K2).
•Own the Group Commercial & Product planning cycles, to ensure they are embedded to short term objectives and the longer-term strategy. 
•Accountable for the team workload and priorities. Able to  multitask and redistribute work and responsibilities across the wider team to address the highest priority areas. 
•Drive and embed consistency and best practice across the Group in terms of accounting, reporting, analysis and forecasting.
•Drive a culture of performance & cost optimisation across the Group and further develop our ability to track return on investment. 
•Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Business Partnering team around processes and systems (Qlik, Power BI, Adaptive, Access and Workday)
•Responsible for preparing and presenting analysis to Executive management team to drive decision making.
•Responsible for preparation of presentations and analysis to Board level. 
•Support FP&A by leading the teams' input into the quarterly announcement processes where relevant. Be able to confidently articulate performance and deviations to both prior year and external expectations. Support in "packaging" the numbers for external purposes and preparing the story around them. 
•Strategically drive a culture of  Finance business partnering across the Group.
•Continuously developing and sharing knowledge with the team to keep up to date with industry trends. Proactively attend external conferences and workshops to keep up to date with what "best in class" operators are doing with regards to systems, processes and ways of working.
•Support FP&A with input on setting of longer-term strategy for Commercial and Product P&Ls and ensuring we are progressing against existing strategies. 

Skills and Behaviours:

•Strong commercial awareness- excellent understanding of  the Gambling industry and the challenges and opportunities that exist. 
•Strong leader as well as a team player with a focus on collaboration and delivery
•Excellent presentation skills at Executive management level. 
•Comfortable managing upwards as well as downwards. 
•Ability to negotiate and influence Senior Stakeholders. 
•Excellent organization and project management skills. Be able lead and drive projects and interact with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
•Analytical mind- Ability to translate complex data into a format that is understood by non-Finance stakeholders and pick out the key points. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Displays excellent attention to detail.


•Qualified accountant with several years of post-qualified experience.
•Experience working at business partnering functions  and evidence of driving tangible improvements in these functions. 
•Experience of managing at team and dealing with Senior Leaders
•Experience of working in gambling industry in commercial and/or managing Opex and Capex an advantage
