Head of Project & Change Management

Kindred is one of Europe's largest online gaming groups with 11 brands operating across multiple markets and in turn serving around 21m customers worldwide. Following a recent organisational change, the Project & Change Management function will adopt a new data driven approach, embracing a new delivery workflow where change is delivered through cross-functional, virtual teams, dedicated to one customer journey.



As Head of Project & Change Management, you will lead a team of Project & Change Managers responsible for the successful delivery of our prioritized projects, never losing sight if the associate Customer journeys. The introduction of a Change Management vertical within the project team adds another challenge to the role as we will expect the Head of Project & Change Management to work hand-in-hand with the Lead Change Manager to ensure effective change management across all projects.

 

As Head of Project & Change Management you'll work closely with our Portfolio functions to ensure we deliver according to expectations, with your Projects Leads to control the existing projects and  with the Lead  Change Managers to help developing our change capabilities.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of Projects Lead (2) & Project managers (15):
    Ensure the Project management team act as Project leaders prioritizing people management & business value above conventional project management
    • Advise on best practices and specialist project management skills to drive high performance in the new delivery ecosystem.   
    • Focus on adapting & improving our way of delivering in alignment with the progress of the new delivery model 
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget & according to expectations - following existing framework, process and guidelines when it comes to attitude and desired behavior. 
    • Constantly focus on how to improve the overall performance of all Project & Change Managers but also of the all Project & Change vertical. 
    • Ensure a strong reporting from projects to Portfolio & effective communication toward the organization  
    • Monitor closely all projects to give guidance on risks, issues, dependencies and escalate if required.
  • Works with the Project Leads to ensure project managers are allocated appropriately and effectively to projects
  • Works closely with the Portfolio Manager to make sure Portfolio and Projects are well aligned with the strategic direction & OKRs.  
  • Provide strong leadership in Change Management to make Change as equally important as the delivery in a project environment.  
    • Provide advice on best practices and specialist Change management skills to Change Managers 
    • Own change management strategic vision 
    • Be the leader in promoting an energized Change culture within delivery that is focused on collaborative working in the interests of the organization.
    • Build change management capabilities along Project Management with the Lead Change Manager
    • Ensure Change Management workstreams are well executed & deliver on benefits expectation
    • Ensure standard Change management processes, documents & tools are used across the team and business
  • Maintain and enhance process documentation and controls.
  • Responsible for performance management and development of Project & Change Managers
  • Drives recruitment process with Project Leads for new PMs /CMs  

 

Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Experience of leading a Project Management function in an agile and digital environment.
  • Ability to manage programmes and / or project portfolios
  • Clear understanding on how to drive projects in a portfolio environment
  • Strong experience in full change management capacity within a Programmes/Projects environment
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to engage with a range of people
  • Management of project budgets
  • Proven track record of improving project delivery
  • Ability to translate complex project models for delivery
  • Organised in approach, structured, methodical, and diligent
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people
  • Strong conflict management, influencing and problem solving skills
  • Ideally a professional qualification in Change Management or Project/Programme Management
