About the Role

Kindred is seeking an exceptional individual to join the US team in the role of Head of Partnerships. The individual will lead the US sports league and team partnership strategy to help drive the growth of Unibet brand. Head of Partnerships will work with the team to identify the right partners and assets that can increase the efficiency of the acquisition funnel and add value to the customer. This role will work alongside Head of Brand Marketing, Head of Digital, and Head of CRM to ensure effective and efficient media mix and journey through acquisition funnel.

The right candidate for this position will have experience managing Partnerships as part of the team, league, agency or a brand. The job will require creativity, strategic thinking, and ability to build and lead the team. It is imperative that this person has a take-charge and can-do attitude, has strong social and people skills with the ability to build trust. We are looking for someone passionate about the brand stories.


What will you be doing?

  • Work with the senior leadership to evolve Unibet brand Partnerships strategy that aligns with business objectives (acquisition marketing, content marketing, CSR etc.)
  • Play a key role in marketing planning and campaign development in collaboration with other marketing verticals, including Brand, Digital, and CRM.
  • Identify, negotiate, activate and evaluate league and team partnerships, create stories and experiences that benefit Unibet customer and improve the efficiency of the acquisition funnel.
  • Maximize the value of Partnership assets by working with other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Play an active role in defining the role Partnerships play in the Acquisition strategy, use a robust evaluation framework to prove the value and define best practice.
  • Be an active storyteller and Partnerships ambassador within the organization by sharing success stories, learnings and adjustments implemented.
  • Manage marketing relationships with professional leagues and sports teams at all stages. Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled on both sides.
  • Monitor the tracking and research toolkit, identify missing pieces to ensure continuous optimization of the vertical.
  • Champion experimental marketing concepts and find opportunities in the competitive landscape to break through the noise.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and key Partnerships trends to bring fresh ideas to life.

What have you done?

  • 5-7 years of experience working in integrated marketing or marketing partnerships.
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports.
  • Experience in Partnership valuation and measurement.
  • Ability to work across boundaries and partner with various stakeholders to build consensus and get results.
  • You love telling brand stories that work across the channels and deliver growth.
  • Some experience in converting leads, with overall knowledge of the sales funnel.
  • Proven ability to identify brand advertising tactics that deliver on brand KPIs and growth across the channels; data driven creative thinking.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively and efficiently drive performance and form strong, productive partnerships.
  • Commercial acumen within the sports/entertainment industry and strategic marketing skills.
