We are looking to recruit someone to head up our Legal and Compliance Analytics team. This team is part of a wider Analytics team, comprising c70 Analysts, Data Scientists and Engineers. In this role you will lead a team of specialised Data Analysts who focus on ensuring our customers are playing sustainably, and in a safe environment. You will support initiatives related to fraud prevention, AML, KYC, detecting early signs of problematic gambling, and optimising the effectiveness of our responsible gambling tools and processes.

Key responsibilities 

  • Define and deliver the team's strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead and develop a team of Data Analysts.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Provide and develop capabilities that allow stakeholders to access data insights and get questions answered.
  • Work closely with business partners to identify and deliver solutions that help achieve their goals.
  • Work with Data Science to help build data products related to fraud detection, AML and the identification of problematic gambling.
  • Be an evangelist for Analytics and data innovation across the business, educating and helping to identify use cases.
  • Build relations with 3rd parties and academia to help achieve goals.
  • Act as an ambassador for Kindred in the external Analytics community.

 

Your experience 

  • Experience working in a similar domain, using Analytics techniques to support fraud detection, AML and KYC. Gambling industry experience not essential, but an added advantage. 
  • Experienced in leading and mentoring a team of Data Analysts.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to set and deliver against a vision and strategy.
  • An effective communicator and networker, able to influence and explain complex topics to business stakeholders.
  • Strong consultancy skills with ability to identify and deliver projects that generate measurable added value to the business and the ability to spot potential problems, or risks before they arise.
  • Ability to translate a business problem into a problem in the Analytics domain and design an end-to-end solution.
  • Experience of using R (including Connect), Python, SAS, SQL, or similar.
  • Background in conducting complex statistical analysis, holding a degree in a relevant discipline such as economics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering.
