Group Reporting Manager
What you will do
Coordinate and oversee the monthly and quarterly closing timetables and process.
Perform detailed monthly review and analysis of subsidiary results, liaising with local Financial Controllers.
Lead the production of the monthly consolidated financial statements and Board pack, including corresponding analysis and commentary.
Lead the production of the Group's quarterly financial reports, liaising with senior stakeholders and providing analysis as required.
Lead the production of the back half of the Annual Report, and play a key role in supporting the Communications team with the overall process and report.
Support in managing the audit process with our Group statutory auditors and preparation of key deliverables.
Using your IFRS technical expertise, be involved in the accounting treatment of judgmental/technically complex areas that impact the Group numbers (such as impairment, shared based payment, key provisions).
Be involved in M&A activities, including purchase price allocation exercises and the integration of acquired companies into the consolidated numbers and Group processes (including system integration).
Provide advice and guidance to local finance teams on Group processes and judgmental areas.
Review Group processes and drive the implementation of incremental or more substantial changes to gain efficiencies.
Work with the Group Technical Accounting Manager to create and update Group accounting policies (including in relation to the implementation of new accounting standards) and maintain a Group accounting policy manual.
Involvement in the current implementation of the new consolidation system and, in the near future, a new ERP system.
Support local finance teams with the production of statutory financial statements and review these from a Group perspective.
Supervision of the accounting of some group companies until transferred to local Financial Controllers
Your experience
Relevant professional qualification, such as ACA (or similar) with 6+ year PQE
Audit experience in a medium to large practice and relevant industry experience preferred
Exposure to listed companies an advantage
Strong and up to date knowledge of IFRS essential
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong written communication skills, including experience in writing external financial reports
Proactive and keen to drive change
