Finance Business Partner



The role

The Finance Business Partner will provide financial business partnering to key departments and budget holders within Kindred and be responsible for running the planning cycles, providing reporting and analysis and being the primary contact for stakeholders.


The role will report into the Lead Finance Business Partner for the Commercial organization and will primarily support this area of the business.


Your Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted Partner to key departments or budget holders within Kindred.
  • Use knowledge of markets & performance to pro-actively drive analyses on relevant trends and suggest areas for improvement/ optimization
  • Support in the preparation of financial forecasts that are both realistic and aligned to wider company objectives
  • Look for opportunities to utilise systems to improve processes and increase efficiency. Suggest efficiencies and innovations in reporting within the Business Finance team.
  • Ensure stakeholders have a thorough understanding of their P&L & factors driving movement vs target and historic comparatives.
  • Provide performance KPI commentary to stakeholders.
  • Support Financial Control with month end and take the lead role from a Business Finance perspective. 
  • Educate wider Finance team on performance and key risks (where relevant)
  • Coach Analyst through regular reporting and month-end accounting processes and review/ support where needed to ensure accuracy in the accounting
  • Other ad hoc projects/modelling as and when required.
  • Produce financial analysis to drive decision making with support of more senior team members
  • Proactively keeping up to date with industry trends.



Your Experience/Skillset 

  • Certified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong ability to translate financial information and other data into a format that is easily interpreted by non-finance stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management - Going the extra mile, be customer service oriented
  • Comfortable managing upwards as well as downwards. 
  • Displays excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-starter. 
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good knowledge of Finance systems. Adaptive, Access and Qlik an advantage. 
  • Experience working in Commercial business partnering functions.
  • Some post-qualified experience. Either with prior FP&A experience, or experience working in practice or an accounting function. 
  • Interest in sports betting / online gaming an advantage.
