The Role

As a Domain Architect at Kindred, you work in the Support Hub as a specialist in a specific technical domain (i.e., Frontend, iOS, Android, DevOps Test).

In this role you will carry the vision for technical strategy across delivery verticals, applying your knowledge and skills both to advice on solutions
and guide in technology choices. In this role you focus on the bigger picture, keeping an eye on future needs and opportunities. However, you will at times work closely with development teams across the Engineering organization where you provide expert knowledge when needed.

 

Key accountabilities of this role are

  • Providing expert knowledge of relevant technologies
  • Working across verticals in close collaboration with teams and stakeholders
  • Advising and guiding in technology choices and their application
  • Ensuring performance and quality of deliveries across teams through guidance and mentoring
  • Sharing knowledge, best practices and providing training within the organization
  • Supporting innovation and looking at new opportunities
  • Assisting in recruitment and technical evaluations of candidates
  • Representing Kindred in external forums such as conferences and meet-ups

 

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Understands the Android development ecosystem
  • Is passionate about new technologies and keeps up to date on new trends and possibilities.
  • Is used to take responsibility and set the architectural roadmap.
  • Ability to decide when new technology should be used - or when a tried and tested technology is a better choice.
  • Adheres to Kotlin development guidelines
  • Ability to work independently in a globally distributed team.
  • Enjoys sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Experienced with providing technical leadership through coaching and mentoring.
