Digital Analytics Tech Lead

About the role

 

As the Digital Analytics Tech Lead you will be responsible for defining the vision and roadmap for digital tracking solutions across the Kindred Group.  You will work closely with our Analysis, Marketing, and Tech teams implementing tagging solutions to collect digital data in support of our analysis and marketing initiatives.


You are expected to have significant experience of working with JavaScript, website server-side, and mobile app based ad tracking and data collection technologies.  Strong knowledge and experience of tag management solutions, including Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager and Google Tag Manager.

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Define and drive the digital tracking roadmap for ad tracking, 3rd party tags and analytical data capture
  • Audit and analyse complex existing ad tracking and analytics set ups and advise on improvements and changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and work with tech teams to implement solutions
  • Consult and advise on options available for ad tracking and analytics data collection
  • Drive regular communication with stakeholders to ensure awareness of tracking solutions
  • Function as a subject matter expert across the business, ensuring knowledge is shared
  • Ensure effective processes and governance are in place to achieve tracking goals
  • Provide coaching to a team of analysts and implementation specialists
  • Staying current on the latest developments in data, ad tracking, and web analytics
  • Working closely with the Analytics team to deliver insights

 

How will you be measured?

 

  • Continually optimise tracking infrastructure
  • Ensure data and data collection methods are accurate, timely, and fit for purpose
  • Optimise the analytics test plan processes and governance with developers
  • Advocate tracking best practices
  • Communicate a clear vision and roadmap

 

 

What have you done?

 

  • Have excellent knowledge and experience of working with tracking technologies
  • Have experience of optimising site performance in relation to ad tracking and analytics scripts
  • Strong experience working with tag management systems such as Adobe DTM, Ensighten, Tealium, Google Tag Manager
  • Experience of server side and client side analytics and ad tracking methods
  • Able to QA and debug tags using appropriate tools
  • Able to communicate complex technical problems clearly
  • Experience working with JavaScript and other web technology languages
  • Strong experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Record of implementing best practice tagging solution across all platforms: web, native apps and single page applications
