DevOps Engineer



The role


Kindred is growing fast and the Platform Engineering team needs to keep pace. Therefore, an opportunity exists to be part of delivering the future infrastructure platform at Kindred. The team is the bridge between development and operations and are focusing on CI/CD, automation and infrastructure as code. You will thrive in this position if you are passionate about Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, DevOps and like problem solving, have a can-do attitude and have strong programming skills. We are a team of professionals with varying backgrounds, we work together with the mission of creating a state-of-the-art global platform for the entire organization.

What you will do


  • Write libraries and extensions in Jenkins that provides interfaces for building, deploying and running services.
  • Write scripts and applications that integrates back office systems and infrastructure services.
  • Write infrastructure as code that will provide state of the art environments based on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
  • Support for the tech organisation in the DevOps area with best practices and training.


How will success be measured in this role


  • Fulfillment of OKRs
  • Regular performance reviews with your line manager
  • Acting in line with Kindred Group values
  • Successful completion of all relevant training and other compliance activities that support Kindred's sustainable and responsible growth


Your experience


  • Strong coding ability, preferably Python or Java.
  • Your familiar with Continuous Delivery principles and have worked with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools for some time.
  • Experience with AWS or GCP is plus.
  • Its desirable that you have some experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with implementing Security as Code and security tools/checks into a CI/CD pipeline is an extra plus
