Role Description:

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing (Australia), the CRM Manager (Australia) will primarily assist in the planning, development, execution and optimizing of campaigns and promotions to support clearly defined financial and customer specific KPIs. The suitable candidate will also drive a transformational shift in our existing marketing tech-stack over 12-18 months, which will include building out new workflows and coordinating with central and local stakeholders to ensure the transition is seamless.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with the planning and execution of the Australian campaign and promotions roadmap across the calendar year with a primary focus on flagship events and sports.
  • Support the implementation and analysis of automated customer lifecycle campaigns (covering customer acquisition, onboarding, retention & reactivation).
  • Work with a range of marketing technology platforms that cover campaign execution, audience management, campaign analytics (Excel, Power BI, Adobe Analytics & Qlik) and multi-channel communication (i.e., SMS, email, push and onsite assets).
  • Have an intermediate understanding of project management, to specifically drive a shift in our existing marketing tech-stack to enable a new way of working using new technology and establishing efficient and optimal workflows.
  • Analyse customer patterns and behaviour to drive commercial decisions, including collaboration with both central and local marketing intelligence teams.
  • Interpreting current and future trends within the market.
  • Occasionally support the creative briefing and copywriting processes with multiple team members.
  • Manage and optimise on-site assets with relevant promotions and content via our in-house CMS (content management system).
  • The role may require occasional Saturday shifts supporting general marketing administration (i.e., reactive campaign execution and social media engagement initiatives) along with assisting Customer Support escalations and inquiries.
  • The role will require occasional evening calls with European colleagues.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in data-driven direct marketing (or CRM) through agency and/or client-side roles, having held responsibility for the implementation and execution of direct marketing/CRM campaigns.
  • Planning, scheduling, and analytical abilities as well as strong numeracy skills.
  • Intermediate understanding of marketing tech/architecture (campaign execution, CDP/audience management and content management systems).
  • An intermediate level of project management is highly desirable, but not required.
  • A keen interest in Australian Sports and Racing. Any experience within the sports/racing or wagering industry is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business and/or Marketing, is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills with strong attention-to-detail.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Ability to innovate and continually optimize existing manual and automated campaigns.
  • Interpersonal and organisational skills will be essential to the role.
