Business & Regulatory Projects Lead

Following a recent organisational change, the Project & Change Management function is now led by a data driven portfolio & influenced by a new delivery workflow where change is delivered through cross-functional, virtual teams, dedicated to one customer journey.



As Business & Regulatory Projects Lead, you will be leading a team of Project Managers responsible for the successful delivery of our Commercial, Product and Regulatory strategic projects. Your role will be to support all Project Managers in they day-to-day work and specifically with all elements of Risks Management. You will also focus on developing your team with the aim to increase performance in delivery.

 

As Business & Regulatory Projects Lead, you'll work closely with the Commercial, Product and Corporate departments and delivery functions, the Portfolio Manager to ensure your projects are aligned with the Portfolio expectations and with the Lead Change Manager to run our change capabilities within projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Head of Project & Change Management in providing clear leadership to the Business & Regulatory projects vertical:
    • Ensure effective delivery of all Regulatory, Commercial & Product projects
    • Intervene when necessary to aid the team with issue resolution
    • To develop a well-functioning department including: Reporting, resource planning and budgeting, onboarding and filtering of projects
    • Control the quality of deliverables from PMs - Ensuring deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project stakeholders and Senior Managers
    • Coordinate with internal delivery stakeholders to be fully aligned within the delivery workflow
    • Understands our primary job is to deliver projects in the best way and seeks ways to improve this continuously.
    • Solution oriented problem solver, seeking best way to resolve and drive change
  • Develop team members to fullest potential & aim for perfection in our way of delivering:
    • Ensure standards, principle, framework and processes are applied
    • Motivate and inspire team members
    • Lead by setting a good example
    • Coach and help develop team members;
    • Maintain healthy group dynamics
    • Ensure the principles around communication are respected by all PMs
    • Ensure a career progression and development plan has been established for all PMs
    • Create an environment which encourages open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort

 

Skills and experience required:

 

  • Dedicated team manger with a result orientated attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects at every level and lead them through to implementation
  • Tangible experience in project management, valuing delivery over process.
  • Natural ability to manage the demands of our Executive and Senior Management team in a flexible way .
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Experience in digital environment
  • Good understanding of our company with strong commercial understanding.
  • Highly emotionally intelligent
  • A self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.

 


Education / Qualifications/ Professional Certificates

 

  • Degree level education preferable but more value will be placed on evidence of good delivery
  • Project Management accreditation
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience with some of the following: development, agile development, product ownership and backlog priority
