Automation Tester

Objective of the Position

 The opportunity is within a global organisation for someone with strong test automation experience working on large scale automated testing. You'll be working closely with architects, developers, infrastructure and performance, monitoring the production, PT and QA environment’s. You're experienced with GIT and CD/CI tools (eg. Jenkins) 

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Writing automated tests and liaising with the development team
  • Translating user stories/ business requirements to acceptance criteria
  • Building automated test function, developing testing processes and procedures
  • Ability to simplify & prepare test cases, plan, conditions & documents independently
  • Ability to analyse, identify and escalate defects through functional and regression testing

 

Key accountabilities / Measures

  • Successful implementation of test’s across the SDLC
  • Performance metrics of Test Plans
  • Test coverage across the platform

Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates

 Tertiary qualification/s in an Information Technology related discipline is preferred

 

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

 At least 3 Years Commercial experience in .Net development

  • Experience with BDD, Automated Unit Testing and tools such as NUnit
  • A desire to jump into distributed systems and event driven architecture
  • An interest in the online wagering space
  • Experience with Webservices and API's
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing existing test scripts
  • Experience with agile workflow delivery using JIRA, Confluence
  • Strong programming experience in .net and C# and experience with Spec flow and Visual Studio
  • Continuous Integration experience with TeamCity, GIT and MS Build
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and related frameworks for example Scrum, Kanban and Lean

 Experience with automated testing
