The Role:
This role will ensure compliance with the respective anti-money laundering regulations and play a key part in Kindred's strategy and policy in various markets. Internally, the role will focus on installing best practices and quality of processes and policies, while externally the role will be involved in leading and maintaining a localised strategy and approach to the market, working with the likes of Public Affairs, Communications and Commercial teams, as well as external networks.
What will you do?
Ensure compliance with the respective anti-money laundering regulations throughout the business
Be the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and AML compliance owner for respective licenses and markets and act on behalf of the MLRO when unavailable
Monitoring and reviewing existing AML policies and procedures but also constantly identifying gaps and new potential improvement areas whilst devising remedial actions, and maintaining a continuous identification and classification of potential risks;
Regulatory reporting related to AML/CFT to relevant authorities
Exercising sound judgement on sensitive and time-dependent matters by keeping abreast of legislative and commercial developments at regional and global level;
Assisting with the resolution and processing of regulatory requests
Analysis of inherent risks raised in audits and risk assessments, implementing the necessary control mechanisms and ensuring they are addressed in accordance with agreed timelines
Advise on policy and strategy for the respective markets, building a key network and anticipating upcoming changes
Own the necessary AML documentation, including risk assessments, acceptance policies, procedures and controls
Lead the internal and external audits on anti-money laundering
Conduct due diligence on Kindred Group's business partners, such as payment service providers and affiliates
Provide direction and guidance to Kindred Group's employees on executing anti-money laundering regulations in a compliant and efficient manner
Act as the point of contact and support for related legal claims and issues
Provide support to the operational teams by being the point of contact and escalation, namely with high risk cases and scenarios
Train and conduct quality checks on operations to ensure quality and consistency with the policy and approach
Train other stakeholders in the business as required
Undertake delegated tasks as required and needed by the Head of AML
Assist the AML Governance Manager and MLRO with any ad-hoc duties and projects
Your Experience
Great analytical & organisational skills
Able to work with minimal guidance and supervision
Self-motivated and a self-starter
Time management skills
Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years
Genuine interest and passion in the field of anti-money laundering
