The Kindred Group’s headquarters is in Malta and we employ around 450 people of over 25 nationalities, reflecting our wide-range of brands and international customers. The office contains state-of-the-art equipment and furnishings, including height adjustable desks - perfect if you prefer not to sit down the entire day! The office space covers over 4,500 square meters, its sheer size incorporating three floors across two different wings. Situated on Tigne Point, we get spectacular sea views across Grand Harbour to Valletta.
Our main areas of business are as diverse as our employees and cover customer services, marketing, product, finance, player sustainabilty, tech, fraud and more.
Many of our employees relocate to Malta for their roles with Kindred and this creates unique and strong social bonds within the company. We are always involved in social activities and clubs including a running club, yoga classes, ice cream/cupcake Wednesdays, in addition to our highly competitive ping-pong competitions. We also organise regular poker nights, barbecues on the terrace, not to mention our highlights: the summer and Christmas parties! You certainly won’t be short of fun things to do with your colleagues in Malta.
Location and lifestyle in Malta
Malta basks in the Mediterranean Sea and, unlike the thousands of tourists who flock to the island each year, you’ll have the pleasure of working and playing here all year round!
Aside from 300 days of sunshine and clean, crystalline waters perfect for snorkelling and diving, there’s a multitude of stylish cafes, clubs and beach resorts to enjoy, as well as historical sites, baroque churches and archaeological wonders.
Not to be forgotten are the fireworks! If you think you’ve seen the best fireworks in the world, prepare to be stunned by Malta’s jaw-dropping array at its many festivals – perhaps the most famous is April’s Malta International Fireworks Festival that features the best local and foreign pyrotechnics.
Living in Malta is very relaxed, especially if you’re used to hectic city life. Crime is extremely rare and terrorist attacks are even rarer. Maltese culture consists of an interesting mix of Italian and Anglo influences from neighbouring Sicily and the UK, harking back to the days when Malta was once a British Crown colony. Maltese, Italian and English are widely spoken across the islands so English speakers usually have no problem communicating.
The commute to work is often just a convenient walk, particularly if you are based in fashionable Sliema; alternatively, a short drive from the popular neighbourhoods of St Julian’s, San Gwann or Gzira will soon get you to the office where free parking is available.
Accommodation varies from luxury beachfront apartments to traditional balconied apartments behind gorgeous Maltese facades. Some people prefer a villa, particularly if they have children – if that's you, head for family-friendly St Julian’s, Gzira or Pembroke where you’ll find good private nurseries and schools.
