We have a growing workforce of around 90 employees in Australia, split between our Sydney and Darwin offices.
In Sydney we have around 50 permanent employees, assisted by 20 contractors working in several areas of business, including tech (development), marketing, operations and finance. We predominately focus on Australian horse and greyhound racing but we also have a strong presence in other sportsbook products.
As with all the Kindred Group companies, we have a flexible work environment and offer great training plus opportunities to grow within the business.
Our beautiful open-plan office on Clarence Street comes complete with state-of-the-art technology and is located in the heart of Sydney’s Central Business District (CBD), approximately 120 metres from Wynyard Station and the bus interchange. Step outside the office and you will be in a smart precinct that is a centre for leading financial services companies as well as a vast array of good quality bars and restaurants.
While we are passionate about hard work, our social scene is always fun and light-hearted so you can expect a high degree of like-mindedness and camaraderie.
The Darwin office currently employs nearly 20 customer support agents and traders from its spacious office. And what better location than on the edge of the lush, green racecourse at Fannie Bay where many of the major sportsbook giants are based?
The racecourse, also known as Darwin Racecourse, is conveniently located approximately 10 minutes’ drive from the Darwin Airport and about 7 minutes from Darwin’s Central Business District.
The Fannie Bay Racecourse hosts numerous race meetings held annually including the Darwin Cup in early August, so there’s plenty of racing on the doorstep of the office. We obviously have a passion for our work as well as for our horse racing, so you will not be short of racing banter and a lively, up-beat vibe amongst everyone in our office.
Locations and lifestyle
Land of golden beaches, parks, green spaces and vibrant, village-style neighbourhoods. Nature lovers are spoilt when it comes to national parks, beaches, mountains, forests and lakes, while there are also plenty of opportunities for you to mingle with Aussie locals in Sydney’s multitude of buzzing cafes, bars and restaurants.
For culture, you won’t be short changed either. One of Australia’s most cosmopolitan and cultural cities, Sydney hosts amazing festivals all year round, being home to a rich arts and entertainment scene.
Thanks to an excellent transport system, Sydney is a place where it’s easy to work in the Central Business District (CBD) during the day and retreat to a lovely beachside home in the evening. Property tends to vary from stylish apartments and terraced houses with balconies to large period homes from the Federation era or spacious new-build houses. Quite a few homes have swimming pools, particularly in the wealthy suburbs, so you could soon be kicking back and enjoying the Sydney lifestyle…
Surrounded by national parks, rainforests and springs, Darwin is popular with residents and tourists alike. When you’re not in the office, you’ll be part of a healthy, outdoor lifestyle where fresh seafood is often on the plate; alternatively, there’s a fantastic fusion of Asian and European foods or Australian barbies, together with Indian, Greek and Chinese specialties – yes, Darwin’s multi-cultural population is massively diverse.
Where to live? Most of the suburbs are relatively close to Darwin’s centre so deciding where to settle means you don’t really need to think about commuting. The CBD is the most hip and trendy while Rosebery is more family-orientated with its green spaces, good schools and shopping. Bayview, just five minutes from the CBD has stunning views and an impressive marina, making it a very sought-after address.
If you prefer to stay nearer the office, Fannie Bay is one of Darwin’s most prestigious suburbs, with its great waterfront location on the edge of the city. You can enjoy great views and spectacular sunsets from your balcony while being near to the centre of Darwin. At just over 10 minutes’ drive away there’s the Casuarina shopping precinct as well as the larger Parap Village. Being so near to the racecourse, sport and leisure play an important part of life in Fannie Bay, with the Darwin Turf club and the Darwin Ski, Sailing and Trailer Boat clubs all nearby.
Darwin’s streets are generally lush and tropical with verandas, decking and swimming pools as commonplace as the crocodiles, so be a bit careful!
