Role

The Workday Integration Specialist is a key member of the FDJ Online Betting and Gaming (OBG) People Systems team, responsible for supporting the integration between our two Workday tenants to ensure seamless data flow and business operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Workday's architecture, integration tools (such as Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services), and broader HR business processes. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills to support delivery of this business-critical project

 

Key Responsibilities 

    • Integration Design & Development: Analyse business requirements and translate them into integration specifications. Develop, test, and deploy the integration using Workday tools such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB),Calculated Fields, Workday Connectors, and web services (REST/SOAP APIs).
    • System Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the integration to ensure data integrity and uninterrupted business processes. Proactively resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
    • Data Mapping & Transformation: Manage data mapping and transformation logic between Workday and external systems, ensuring that data structures and formats are compatible and accurately translated.
    • Project Collaboration: Work closely with HR, payroll, finance, IT, and third-party vendors during system implementation project. Provide subject matter expertise for integration-related decisions.
    • Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and support deployment activities to ensure integration solutions meet business and technical requirements.
    • Security & Compliance: Ensure integrations comply with data security standards, privacy policies, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to address risk and maintain audit readiness.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise or automate integration processes for better performance and efficiency. Stay current with Workday releases and industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
    • End-User Support: Provide support for integration-related issues, responding to incidents, service requests, and change requests.
    • Support internal team members on integration-related processes as needed.
    • Manage integration schedules, monitor integration processing, and respond to integration error notifications.
    • Responsible for tenant management within workday: new tenants, renewals, implementers access, ensuring we have the right tenant setup for projects, managing any systems blackout/downtime.

      Compliance 

      • Be a compliance ambassador and Governance, Risk & Compliace (GRC) leader within FDJ Group 
      • FDJ UNITED group has numerous licenses across the globe and you are accountable for the specific compliance obligations, as detailed in the FDJ UNITED Compliance Framework (KCF), in your direct charge. 
      • Ensure that you, and your team, adhere to the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) obligations within your direct responsibility and control. 
      • As subject matter expert you are accountable for the compliance risk in your area and you will decide on mitigation/risk acceptance, up to a pre-agreed level, as defined in the FDJ UNITED Compliance Framework (KCF) 
      • Dare to challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group 

    Required Experience:

    • 4+ years of direct experience with Workday integrations
    • Have in-depth knowledge of  Workday HCM including Core HCM, Benefits, Absence and  Time Tracking, Advanced Compensation etc.
    • Proficiency in Workday integration tools, including Workday Studio,EIB,Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs) and PECI Integration.
    • Solid understanding of HR, Payroll, or Finance business processes and data flows.
    • Experience with XML, XSLT, XPath, and data transformation tools.
    • Familiarity with SFTP protocols, middleware, and cloud-based integration patterns.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience working in Agile or project-driven environments.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Workday Pro or relevant Workday certifications (Integration, Studio, or Reporting).
    • Experience with Workday Extend.
    • Knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and secure data handling practices.
    • Experience integrating Workday with major third-party systems (e.g.,Safeguard, Oracle).
    • Background in scripting (Java, Python, or similar languages) for enhanced automation and customization.
