The role

The ideal candidate will have excellent sports betting knowledge and a strong operational background with proven ability to support daily tasks for trading settlement queries, integrity, and process management. The candidate must possess first class communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels. They will have the enthusiasm to drive and enhance our existing processes and support multiple teams working across functions in numerous locations. Shift patterns are variable, to include days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays and may also include early evening and night working hours. The successful candidate must be aware of our product breadth and how that competes in the marketplace, understand local market requirements including any specific commercial, trading and compliance executions and be able to work proactively with the other Sportsbook stakeholders to further enhance our operations and offering.

 

What you will do:

  • Report directly to the Control Manager, providing ongoing updates and insights
  • Strong awareness of match-fixing risks and a solid understanding of sports integrity principles, with experience identifying and addressing suspicious betting patterns
  • Analyze daily data trends and conduct forecasting to drive immediate, actionable improvements and recommendations
  • Provide support for other roles within the wider team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative approach to team objectives
  • Support trading, bet audits, and compliance processes across multiple locations, applying enhanced due diligence to betting activity
  • Independently resolve complex trading and integrity issues, implementing effective, sustainable solutions
  • Contribute to company KPIs with a focus on integrity standards, audit compliance, and software access management
  • Ensure timely and appropriate handling of real-time bet data
  • Collaborate with the Trading team to develop and maintain optimal strategies for individual customers and customer segments
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve integrity issues, liaising with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies
  • Work closely with Trading teams to uncover strategic betting trends and customer group behaviors
  • Provide in-depth training and support to sportsbook customer-facing teams, enhancing their knowledge and performance
  • Assist the Control Manager in fulfilling both internal and external audit obligations
  • Manage and maintain the website's Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)
  • Serve as the first point of contact for managing ad-hoc audit requests, representing the business in a professional and compliant manner
  • Provide support for sportsbook operations as needed, ensuring smooth execution and collaboration across teams to meet operational goals
  • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role
  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear

Your experience:

  • Proven knowledge or experience in sports betting
  • Strong understanding of bookmaking principles, including applicable methods and mathematical models
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate solutions within tight deadlines and high-pressure environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Solid understanding of customer profiling and behavioral trends
  • Genuine interest in sports and/or sports betting
  • Hardworking, adaptable, and solution-oriented when faced with challenges
  • Industry experience is a key requirement for this role
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
