Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze security events and alerts
Triage alerts and determine their severity and priority
Correlate and enrich alerts with threat intelligence and other contextual information
Respond to incidents and coordinate with other teams as necessary
Continuously improve the incident response process and playbooks by incorporating lessons learned and best practices
Participate in regular training and exercises to maintain and improve skills
Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced SOC analysts, fostering their growth in technical skills and understanding of security best practices
Lead initiatives to enhance security monitoring processes, focusing on automation, efficiency, and proactive threat detection

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a SOC or similar security operations role
Strong understanding of the threat landscape and common attack vectors
Familiarity with common security tools and technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Desirable: knowledge of Splunk and Microsoft Security tools
Desirable: Python development knowledge

Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.

Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.
