Who We Are
Our flagship Kindred Sportsbook Platform isn't just competing; it's redefining global betting. We're engineering a high-throughput, low-latency, asynchronous system that handles real-time, high-stakes events for millions of users worldwide. Picture the F1 car of betting platforms: blisteringly fast, ultra-reliable, and built for peak pressure.
With enterprise stability and scale-up agility, our team pursues bold technical and business goals across diverse markets. If pushing tech limits in a high-stakes arena excites you, this is your home.
The Mission
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you'll help shape the systems that keep Kindred's global betting platform resilient, observable, and lightning-fast no matter how high the stakes.
You'll lead complex projects from concept to delivery: translating business goals into technical strategy, breaking down ambiguity into clear plans, and guiding your teammates to deliver reliable, measurable outcomes.
Whether it's architecting our next-gen telemetry pipeline or driving reliability improvements across distributed systems, you'll combine deep technical expertise with leadership that brings clarity and momentum.
What You'll Do
· Engineer for resilience: Design and evolve the telemetry, alerting, and observability stack that keeps our systems healthy and performant.
· Lead initiatives end-to-end: Take business problems and turn them into technical outcomes, owning delivery from design through execution and handover.
· Drive visibility: Partner with development teams to understand and instrument services, ensuring full end-to-end insight from code to customer.
· Mentor and elevate: Share knowledge, break down technical tasks, and coach other engineers to build confidence, capability, and autonomy.
· Hunt for bottlenecks: Lead performance investigations, root-cause incidents, and proactively tune systems before issues hit production.
· Automate reliability: Eliminate toil through smart automation, self-healing systems, and frictionless CI/CD workflows.
· Shape best practice: Define golden signals, SLOs, and error budgets tied to real user journeys and business outcomes.
When everything's breaking and the stakes couldn't be higher, you're the calm in the storm, bringing structure, focus, and solutions.
What You Bring
You're an engineer who thinks in systems. You lead by doing. You can see the moving parts, chart the path forward, and help others see it too.
You'll succeed in this role if you have previously:
· Designed or scaled observability platforms using tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo etc.
· Built distributed telemetry pipelines handling massive data volumes in real time.
· Operated multi-cloud and hybrid environments (e.g. AWS, OpenStack).
· Written production-grade code in Go, Python, C#, Node.js or similar languages.
· Automated infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps pipelines like Helm and ArgoCD.
· Led initiatives or projects that balanced business needs, reliability goals, and engineering constraints.
· Conducted data-driven postmortems and implemented systemic improvements.
Extra kudos if you've:
· Worked in fintech-scale or other high-uptime, high-stakes environments.
· Integrated OpenTelemetry tracing, metrics, and logs at scale.
· Documented architectures, runbooks, and processes to enable autonomy across teams.
