We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our team—a proactive, skilled professional with the right QA mindset, who can take ownership, lead quality efforts, and foster a positive and collaborative team environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership and Accountability:
    • Take full responsibility for the quality of the product, from planning to delivery, ensuring thorough testing at every stage.
    • Lead quality initiatives and be a key driver in improving testing processes, strategies, and tools.
  • Test Strategy and Planning:
    • Define and implement effective test strategies for microservice-or-microfront-end based architectures, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
    • Identify the right approach for testing different products and components, balancing UI and API testing as required.
  • Shift-Left Testing:
    • Advocate for and implement shift-left testing practices, embedding quality early in the development process.
    • Actively participate in requirement discussions to ensure testability and identify potential issues upfront.
  • Collaboration in Solution Design:
    • Contribute equally with other engineers in solution design discussions, providing valuable insights from a quality perspective.
    • Ensure testing requirements are integrated into solution design, fostering a quality-driven approach.
  • Automation and Testing Expertise:
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for both UI testing and API testing.
    • Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with developers, POs, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Actively participate in team discussions, contributing insights, and collaborating to resolve challenges.
  • Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
    • Be a driver of team engagement, promoting positive collaboration and proactive problem-solving.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement:
    • Stay updated with the latest QA trends, tools, and practices to bring new insights to the team.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve test processes to enhance product quality and team efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Mindset: Strong QA mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of testing processes and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Expertise in at least one programming language, preferably Java or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture and its testing requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in UI and API testing, with knowledge of tools like Cypress.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement test strategies for various types of products.
  • Belief in shift-left testing practices and willingness to embed quality early in the development lifecycle.
  • Willingness to contribute equally to solution design discussions, collaborating with engineers to achieve the best outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, AgroCD.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
