Job Description

Key Accountabilities
▪ Develop high-quality, maintainable code using modern engineering practices and appropriate design patterns
▪ Design solutions that meet both technical and business requirements, proactively suggesting improvements
▪ Drive engineering best practices within the team — including logging, monitoring, and performance testing
▪ Take ownership of team goals and contribute actively to deliverables
▪ Provide constructive feedback during peer code reviews
▪ Advocate for automation and early bug detection using a shift-left testing mindset
▪ Follow and promote quality assurance practices such as BDD and TDD
▪ Make informed and confident technical decisions that benefit the team

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
▪ Proven ability to work independently and deliver performant, scalable code
▪ Solid experience with various system architectures and design approaches
▪ Skilled in giving and receiving code review feedback
▪ Ability to translate technical specifications into actionable work items
▪ Strong focus on automation and early defect detection
▪ Effective communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
▪ Familiar with TDD, BDD, and other quality practices
▪ Experience in incident response and root cause analysis
▪ Comfortable designing and analyzing performance tests
▪ Confident in representing team inputs and outputs in stakeholder meetings
▪ Strong grasp of security best practices and risk assessment
▪ Familiarity with Agile ways of working and contributing to process improvement
▪ Ability to maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines
▪ Experience using static code analysis and security tools to enhance code quality

What You Will Do
▪ Work on full end-to-end feature development — from backend services and APIs to frontend interfaces
▪ Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team, contributing to all stages of product development
▪ Partner with fellow developers to solve complex technical problems
▪ Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering quality standards
▪ Build high-performance UI components and backend services that align with provided specifications

Essential Skills
▪ Strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS
▪ Hands-on experience with ReactJS and NodeJS using TypeScript (recent versions)
▪ Solid understanding of engineering principles — error handling, test strategy, deployment, Infrastructure as Code
▪ Deep familiarity with NodeJS performance tuning, debugging, and instrumentation
▪ Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills
▪ Working knowledge of database principles and query languages (SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch)
▪ Exposure to event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka or equivalent)
▪ Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (React Testing Library, Jest, Cypress)
▪ CI/CD pipeline experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, or GitLab
