As a Senior Software Engineer in Gaming, you are a key contributor within the Frontend team, responsible for building, and maintaining high-quality, scalable frontend solutions that directly impact our customer-facing gaming experiences. You take strong ownership of your work and actively contribute to the team's success by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and providing thoughtful technical feedback.
You identify and drive improvements in code quality, performance, and development practices, and proactively address technical and process gaps within the team. With a mature understanding of technical governance, you make well-reasoned decisions and maintain a long-term perspective on the frontend architecture, components, and applications, ensuring they remain robust, maintainable, and aligned with Gaming's strategic goals.
Develop high quality code using the most appropriate techniques and design patterns
Designs solutions to meet the requirements (business and tech). Able to challenge and proactively suggest improvement to requirements
Contributes to best practice, pro-actively looks to improve status quo e.g. can the team improve logging, performance testing etc.
Focused and engaged in team commitments, takes ownership to help the team reach their goals
Constructively critique solutions and code of peers
Actively seeks to automate where relevant with a shift left mindset (catch bugs early during development)
Follows and implements good practices in quality assurance (BDD, TDD)
Confidently makes decisions affecting the team
Strong Javascript experience 6+ years with React.
Proficient in React and other libraries of the ecosystem (ReactQuery).
Strong understanding of frontend architecture
Experience with design system and common shared libraries
Solid knowledge of frontend testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
Good understanding of frontend security principles, such as data protection, and mitigation of common web vulnerabilities.
Experience collaborating closely with UX, product, and backend teams to deliver high-quality gaming experiences with direct customer impact.
Maintain the team's CI/CD pipelines
Ability to break down technical GAP documents/requirements into deliverable work items
Experienced in working with agile practices and able to suggest improvements to the team's process
Good communication skills to work with team and stakeholders
Experienced in incident management
Ability to effectively represent the team in stakeholder discussions using domain concepts and language
Understanding of risk assessment and impact analysis
