Senior People Partner – Australia & Global Sportsbook Technology

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join as the most senior HR lead in Australia, while also playing a strategic global role partnering with senior leaders in our Sportsbook Technology function. You will:

  • Lead all People strategy and delivery across our Australian operations (~200 employees across Sydney and Melbourne).
  • Act as the global People Partner for Sportsbook Technology, working across multiple geographies to drive organisational effectiveness and workforce planning.
  • Serve as a senior member of the global People Partnering & Operations team, contributing to enterprise-wide people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Australia – Country HR Leadership

  • Serve as the primary People & Culture leader for Australia (covering both Sydney and Darwin offices), advising senior leaders and ensuring alignment with both local needs and global strategy.
  • Own delivery of core People programs including performance, engagement, compliance, employee relations, and organisational development.
  • Lead and coach the local HR team (HR Advisor, Talent Acquisition, PX) with dotted reporting lines.
  • Drive compliance with Australian employment laws, and lead local reporting requirements (e.g., gender equity, modern slavery).
  • Embed global people initiatives within the local context while shaping local policy and practice where needed.

Global Sportsbook Technology – Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with Global Sportsbook Tech leadership to drive strategic workforce planning, succession, and organisational design for the Sportsbook function.
  • Co-create and deliver on performance, talent, and engagement strategies.
  • Liaise with global Centres of Excellence (Reward, DE&I, Talent Development, OE) to ensure consistent and high-impact people programs.
  • Act as a key voice for the Sportsbook Technology team within global People leadership forums.

About You

  • Extensive experience in a senior HRBP or HR Manager role, with demonstrated success in both local line HR leadership and global strategic partnering.
  • Deep understanding of Australian employment law, and experience operating independently in a regional or country-lead capacity.
  • Proven ability to operate across complex matrix organisations, influencing senior stakeholders globally.
  • Skilled in organisational development, workforce planning, and driving culture and engagement.
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity, building relationships across time zones, and managing both strategic and operational needs.
  • Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with compliance standards across multiple jurisdictions is highly desirable.
  • Experience of working across Europe and multiple time zones is essential
