The Role 

Join Our Team - Are you the software engineer we are looking for? 

Are you passionate about innovation and working in an ever-changing, competitive industry? Our Payment team is seeking a dedicated individual with expertise in Java and Spring, React JS is a plus, to enhance the payment experience for customers across all brands. If you thrive in dynamic environments, aspire to leave a lasting impact, and seek to work with cutting edge technologies, and next generation card payments, this is your opportunity to shine! 

You will participate in design discussions with your colleagues to find great solutions to complex engineering challenges. We strongly believe in the “You Design it, You Build It, You Test It, You Run It, You Tweak It” ethos and everyone is expected to take part of the full system / development life cycle to ensure reliability and uptime of the production environment. 

Requirements: 

  • Proficiency in building services in Java and Spring framework 
  • Knowledge of build pipeline preferably Jenkins CI/CD 
  • Basic understanding of React JS, Javascript and/or Typescript. Having worked with micro-frontends is a plus 
  • Good understanding of Git, Gradle, Maven, RPM and Docker 
  • Experience working in agile environments 
  • Continuous Delivery 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Ensure that you, and your team, adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations within your direct responsibility and control.

Ensure any non-compliance incidents within your team are raised through the appropriate channels (Compliance Incidents Process) and that your team are informed of any reporting processes relevant to them.

Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.

Ensure your team's completion of all mandatory compliance trainings within the set deadline.
