Join Our Team at Kindred - Are you the software engineer we are looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Developer. The ideal candidate should have experience working with microservices architecture and be able to develop and maintain high-performance backend systems. 

As a Senior Java Software Engineer you will be part of a cross-functional agile team of talented Engineers and Delivery Specialists (typically 6-10 people) working together to build microservices for the Kindred Group platform. Your expertise lies within Java development but there could be opportunity for frontend development if that's also something you enjoy doing. We believe that you will be eager to take ownership and develop services and components within Gaming, one of our key areas.

You will participate in design discussions with your colleagues to find great solutions to complex engineering challenges. We strongly believe in the “You Design it, You Build It, You Test It, You Run It, You Tweak It” ethos and everyone is expected to take part of the full system life cycle to ensure reliability and uptime of the production environment.

What you will do:

· You will be working in a team passionate about sharing our culture and values. 

· You will be developing scalable backend systems that can handle high traffic loads in a complex eco system of micro services.

· Work in a cross-functional team that owns, develop and deliver

· Work with the latest tech stack

Our Tech Stack:

Essential hands-on experience is required in the tech stack listed below. Note: Good experience and understanding in any similar technology will be considered.

· Java & Spring Boot

· Persistence layer

o Transactions management

o Oracle, Couchbase (or similar e.g. MongoDB)

o JPA / Hibernate

· Event driven architecture

o JMS / Spring Cloud Streams

o Solace / Kafka (or similar e.g. RabbitMQ)

· Platform

o Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes

· Logs & metrics

· Splunk, InfluxDB, Grafana
