About the role- Senior Frontend Engineer with experience working in React, JavaScript and Typescript 

We are looking for a passionate Senior Frontend Engineer with experience working in React, JavaScript and Typescript. As a member of a cross-functional team within the  commercial and marketing area, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing the user interface of our web applications and integrating them against the back end via REST APIs. You'll also be collaborating closely with Product Owner, other front-end developers, Architects and the rest of the team members to deliver high quality, scalable and user-friendly software solutions across different platforms. In this team you'll be able to make a large business impact by contributing to the success of "Our journey towards zero" initiative, where Kindred aim towards zero revenue from harmful gambling. 

You will participate in design discussions with your colleagues to find great solutions to complex engineering challenges. We strongly believe in the “You Design it, You Build It, You Test It, You Run It, You Tweak It” ethos and everyone is expected to take part of the full system / development life cycle to ensure reliability and uptime of the production environment. As a Senior Engineer at Kindred, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team come natural for you and you enjoy being an engaged member of the team who support your colleagues when needed. 

 

Our Tech Stack Our technology stack include: 

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, React
  • CSS, UI libraries and HTML
  • REST APIs
  • CI/CD using Jenkins
  • Micro frontend architecture
  • Cypress E2E Testing
  • State management with Redux or similar

 

To excel in this role, we believe you: 

  • Have commercial experience working as a Senior Frontend Developer/Engineer, with great skills in JavaScript, Typescript & React/Redux
  • Worked as a team member in an Agile team and familiar with Scrum, Kanban or similar frameworks.
  • Are proficient with CSS, HTMLand UI libraries.
  • Have experience releasing components to production and keeping them up to date with appropriate versioning.
  • Have experience in integrations with REST-API's
  • Enjoy having full ownership of your work and the SDLC including using appropriate testing techniques such as unit testing & integration testing.
  • Have experience implementing CI/CD practices such as git branching, automated tests and automated deployment pipelines
  • Are able to investigate, troubleshoot and solve production issues, or having previous experience working as an Incident Manager
  • Have good appreciation of TDD/BDD
  • Have good understanding of React Hooks
  • Are passionate about solving challenging problems in a fast-paced and ever-changing agile environment.

    • Understanding of secure development and knowledge/certification of OWASP/SNYK
    • Have experience with event driven systems.
    • Have interest in using software architectural patterns to work with knowledge of the business area and non-functional require.
