The Role
Data Engineering pipeline design and implementation experience within a commercial environment.
Experience in the delivery of data solutions in complex enterprises.
Experience working with metadata-based ELT/ETL frameworks.
Experience using Python, Scala or Java code against large-scale, cloud-based data warehouses that make use of big-data frameworks like Spark, Kafka, etc
Prior experience working in/with DevOps teams and comfortable with DevOps/SRE thinking.
Previous experience in working with legacy data warehouses and reverse-engineering designs from undocumented code.
Write SQL queries to facilitate data extraction and manipulation.
Support BI for reporting and dashboard needs to assist commercial and product managers on their day to day activities.
Experience working in a scrum-based agile environment.
Demonstrated experience in breaking down complex problems and projects into manageable goals.
Technical and Functional skills:
Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.
Flexible, resilient, committed, passionate and able to work co-operatively.
Ability to cope with competing demands and remain focused with competing priorities.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
