About the Role

As a Senior BI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming our Business Intelligence function into a high-impact, insight-driven team. You'll focus on delivering meaningful insights, improving BI best practices, building reports, and providing guidance to experienced team members. This is a hands-on analytical role where you'll work closely with commercial, trading, and product teams to ensure that data-driven decision-making is at the heart of business strategy.

 

What You Will Do

  • Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable insights
  • Develop BI reports and dashboards to assist Sportsbook and Racing operations, Risk management, Trading, Commercial and Product teams on their day to day activities
  • Perform ad hoc data extraction, manipulation & analysis for the purpose of insights and recommendations
  • Coach experienced analysts in problem-solving approaches and business acumen
  • Introduce best practices for SQL queries, data structuring, and reporting consistency
  • Maintain the reporting framework, automate reports and dashboards wherever possible and constantly review and improve existing reports.
  • Maintain clear documentation on key metrics, data sources, and business logic.
  • Lead peer review sessions to improve BI output quality and ensure consistency.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Contribute to self-service analytics initiatives, making data more accessible for business users.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years experience of BI, Data Analytics, or Business Insights
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in AWS (Redshift, S3, Quicksight)
  • Familiarity with best practices in BI development, automation, and governance.
  • Experience with Jira, Agile methodologies, or workflow automation tools.
  • Ability to gain co-operation and commitment and work with remote teams
  • Python is advantageous but not mandatory
