The Product Security team is looking for a highly motivated and talented Product Security Specialist who will be supporting the Stockholm based team from Kindred's new technology hub in Bangalore, India.

One of the responsible teams for securing Kindred Group and its assets is Cyber Security which consists of 3 teams: Product Security, Offensive Security and DevSecOps. We are searching for that certain someone who is not satisfied in just knowing common standards and frameworks, but instead likes to understand vulnerabilities, the exploitability, knows how to think like the adversary, and most importantly how to defend against them. You should have a real personal passion for security (across a broad range of domains), technology and an insatiable lust to develop further as a Product Security Specialist (both technically and generally). If you are a developer with a strong security passion or a security professional with a developer background this role is perfect for you.

What you will be doing:

Triage and handling of security tickets as per defined processes, e.g:
- Component releases
- Security reviews
Retrieving necessary information from stakeholders to progress security tickets
Follow up different security findings to make sure they are in process to be fixed according to the SLA:s
Perform initial triage of our reported bug bounty findings
Validate security findings reported from Burp Suite Enterprise
Reviewing impact of new vulnerabilities discovered by our vulnerability management tool
Performing basic source code reviews to identify insecure coding practices
Monitor the effectiveness of our quality gates

Your experience

Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10
Strong understanding of web application security concepts
Experience working with ticketing system (JIRA)
Experience working with an SCM system (Bitbucket)
Able to verify web app security vulnerabilities
Experience working as a 2nd-line resource
Desirable: Experience with Burp Suite Enterprise
Desirable: Experience with Burp Suite Professional
Desirable: Experience using Splunk Enterprise
Desirable: Basic knowledge of AWS services
Desirable: Experience working with SAST & SCA tooling
