The role

The Gaming & Player Engagement Engineering vertical consists of three areas and we are looking for a Product Engineering Lead for one of them. The CRM area covers key journeys relating to engaging with and rewarding our customers. This includes Campaign & Orchestration, Bonus & Reward, Loyalty & Gamification, and Customer Communications, with the theme of personalisation strongly connected to all these areas.

As a Product Engineering Lead for CRM you will report into the Head of Engineering for Gaming & Player Engagement and be a central part of the organisation. You will be working closely with your Business Owner to identify the needs of the organisation and build a function that can meet them. You will staff and manage team of Product Owners and take ownership of the product solutions, driving deliveries in your area, aligning to the tech strategy as well as your business owner's goals and ensure that your teams and spoked-in resources are set up for success.

In this role, you are accountable for the delivery and productivity in your area. You ensure that the standards for security and technical compliance are followed and your products deliver value. You are comfortable working closely with stakeholders and peers to understand their needs and bringing the strategic direction to life. You ensure that we always keep the customer perspective in mind, securing the stability and quality of your products, providing maintenance and minimising technical debt.

To be successful in this role you will need a strong drive to make things happen and the capacity to handle many things at once. You are a person that can build strong working relationships, enjoys working with a wide range of individuals in different roles, and someone who can comfortably lead conversations on both business and tech related topics. 

What you will do

  • Work closely with your Business Owner to translate strategies and requirements into technical deliverables

  • Drive outcomes in your area according to priorities set by the Business Owner, taking ownership for the success of your products
  • Support the Business Owners with technical expertise, potential solutions, resources for ideation purposes and cost estimations
  • Build a strong team of Product Owners and provide leadership and personal development
  • Ensure that your area has the right structure, capacity and spoked-in resources to be able to deliver according to expectations

  • Lead and motivate the teams and spokes in your area to ensure alignment on key objectives, goals and deliveries
  • Collaborate with other Product Engineering Leads to drive initiatives that span across several Engineering areas

  • Keep stakeholders informed on progress and changes to timelines or cost

  • Ensure that you area has the right tools to deliver, including licenses, tooling and test environments

  • Make sure all services are maintained and compliant, and that all deliveries follow our standards for security and quality

  • Secure that all deliveries in your area follow the Tech Process and architectural guidelines

Your experience

  • You have several years of experience in product leadership roles and people management
  • You have a strong personal drive and can navigate complex scenarios without having all the answers
  • You have the capability to quickly grasp new information needed to understand and solve technical problems
  • You are quick to adapt to new situations and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • You know how to build successful teams and lead them through change
  • You have a positive and pragmatic attitude, and thrive on making others successful

 

 Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.

  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.
