The role

The Player Sustainability team focuses on preventing illicit gambling activities. We use state-of-the-art technologies to ensure that our products offer our customers a safe gambling environment.

 

What you will do

  • Act as a point of reference for any bonus abuse/sportsbook fraud/3rd party related queries or escalations by any Kindred team
  • Proactively and reactively monitor and action accounts guilty of bonus abuse, wiseguy/sportsbook abuse, or other high-impact / complex fraud activity
  • Write, improve and update of current and new department processes in your area
  • Assist the Team Manager in conducting quality checks when necessary
  • Work closely with Data Analytics, actioning outputs of Fraud Detection Engine and working to improve our overall detection capabilities
  • Conduct regular affiliate checks
  • Advise relevant commercial functions to mitigate risk of abuse and improve ROI. Work closely with commercial/country functions, establishing a strong collaborative relationship
  • Ensure you are fully up to date on any new campaigns, games, or abuse types that need to be monitored or mitigated
  • Take ownership for own development, ensuring you have the requisite knowledge and technical ability to detect and prevent sophisticated fraud and new trends
  • Train, coach and mentor other team members or members of wider Player Sustainability when necessary
  • Establish good and collaborative working relationships within the team and with other Player Sustainability teams
  • Perform high level analysis to identify fraudulent rings/patterns/syndicates
  • Perform document validation on accounts that have been suspected to be linked/bonus abusers
  • Investigate and action internal fraud as per Internal Fraud Policy, reporting findings to management
  • Conduct in-depth investigations and write proper confiscation reports, liaising with Legal/Management when necessary, in line with established procedures
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by management
  • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role
  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.

  • Experience/skilled in writing and improving processes and procedures
  • Very strong knowledge of bonus/campaign abuse, sportsbook activity and abuse, and fraud detection/prevention in general
  • Keen to share knowledge and help others grow
  • Broad knowledge of different markets
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Good knowledge of counter-fraud, AML and compliance
  • Experienced/knowledgeable in data analysis
  • SQL knowledge will be considered a plus
