The Role

Are you passionate about leading people and committed to fostering growth and development in the technology space? If so, we'd love to have you on our team! We're seeking two Line Managers who can inspire our teams to reach new heights and elevate our people management practices. Join us and make a real impact!

The open positions are within our Infrastructure platform organisation, which manages areas such as platform orchestration, automation, infrastructure optimization, networks, messaging tools and databases. We operate at a fast pace, adopting agile methodologies with a strong emphasis on quality, timeliness, and compliance.

The line organisation within the Infrastructure platform serves as an internal partner to the Product Teams. As a Line Manager, your focus will be to support the engineers and cultivate a positive team culture, benefiting both individuals and the organization. You will establish and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with Product Managers.

Your main stakeholders will be engineers and Product Managers. In this role, you will manage around 10-15 engineers and support the product team they are part of.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 10-15 highly skilled engineers.
  • Develop, coach, and help team members reach their full potential through clear targets and guidance.
  • Foster a strong partnership with the Product Manager to guarantee smooth and effective collaboration.
  • Be responsible for resource planning.
  • Retain top talent and maintain team competence.
  • Attract and recruit top talent.
  • Foster a healthy, collaborative culture aligned with FDJ UNITED's values
  • Collaborate with other Line Managers to continuously evolve our culture and organisation.
  • Ensure that you, and your team, adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations within your direct responsibility and control.
  • Ensure any non-compliance incidents within your team are raised through the appropriate channels (Compliance Incidents Process) and that your team are informed of any reporting processes relevant to them.
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
  • Ensure your team's completion of all mandatory compliance trainings within the set deadline.
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.

 

Your experience:

  • Proven experience in people management and team leadership.
  • Background in the tech industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Skilled in building successful teams and inspiring growth and improvement.
  • Positive and pragmatic approach.
  • Passionate about supporting others to grow and succeed.
  • Effective goal setting and achievement skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment.

 

Hybrid Work Disclaimer:
This role is based on a hybrid working model. We require employees to be onsite in the office at least two days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.
