The role

We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join our Product Insights team. Product Insights sits within a wider Analytics organisation of over 60 analysts and engineers, and as we continue to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

Product Analytics enables insight-driven decision making across Sports, Gaming, Registration, and Player Sustainability. We work with clickstream and transactional data, survey responses, and customer contact data, and run A/B experiments to build a clear, informed understanding of customer journeys, product interactions, and overall product performance.

What you will do

You will lead how data and insight inform product and business decisions — shaping priorities around product evolution, market launches, and long-term growth opportunities. By driving a deeper understanding of performance across the portfolio, you will ensure data is at the heart of strategic product decisions.

  • You will conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover drivers of performance, customer behaviour, and product outcomes — translating findings into actionable recommendations that influence investment and development priorities.
  • You will appraise business cases and evaluate the projected and realised benefits of new features, campaigns, and market initiatives — ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-value opportunities.
  • You will lead regular performance reviews across products and markets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and partnering with Product, UX, and Commercial teams to define next steps.
  • You will champion measurement excellence, embedding experimentation and AB testing as core practices to validate impact and support evidence-based product decisions.
  • You will set analytical best practices across the team, ensuring robust methodologies, consistent documentation, and efficient use of tools and code. You will provide guidance, peer review, and coaching for more junior analysts — fostering an environment of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders — including Business Owners, Product Managers, Engineering, and regional teams — ensuring insight and strategy are aligned across departments.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will mentor analysts, share expertise, and support the Analytics Manager in shaping and delivering the wider Analytics Product strategy, while keeping abreast of emerging trends in analytics, gaming, and the competitive landscape.
  • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.
  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.

Your experience

  • Proven experience leading complex analytical projects that have influenced product direction, investment decisions, or market launches.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct deep-dive analysis across multiple data sources to identify drivers of performance and customer behaviour.
  • Experience in appraising business cases, forecasting and evaluating benefit realisation, and providing data-led recommendations that shape strategic priorities.
  • Skilled in delivering descriptive, diagnostic, analytics using R, SQL, or Python or similar.
  • Strong understanding of experimentation and AB testing, using results to guide evidence-based product optimisation.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical outcomes clearly, both verbally and visually, using compelling storytelling and data visualisation techniques.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring analysts, driving best practices in coding, methodology, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Track record of improving analytical efficiency through code optimisation, automation, and refined ways of working.
  • Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders across multiple departments, aligning diverse perspectives towards shared business goals.
  • Awareness of gaming and digital product trends, with curiosity to stay ahead of new technologies, methodologies, and industry insights.
  • Designed and delivered automated dashboards that monitor key product and portfolio performance metrics, enabling stakeholders to track outcomes and make timely, data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with AI Assistants and Prompts to automate repetitive tasks
