As a Domain Architect at FDJ United you are our foremost specialist in a specific technical domain. You will be supporting teams across product areas and geographical locations, applying your knowledge and skills to advice on solutions and guide in technology choices. In this role you focus more on the bigger picture than detailed deliveries, keeping an eye on future needs and opportunities. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and can provide support and training within the organisation
This is a key role where you'll provide architectural direction and and technical leadership within the Android domain.
Provide technical leadership in the Android domain, setting the architectural direction
Work closely with teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical solutions
Guide Android teams in technology choices, ensuring best-fit solutions for current and future needs
Mentor teams to raise the technical bar, improve code quality, and increase delivery effectiveness
Facilitate knowledge sharing, best practices, and training opportunities across the organisation
Actively support key deliveries when needed to ensure quality and impact
Support recruitment activities by assessing technical capabilities of candidates
A senior engineer or architect with deep experience in Android development, especially Kotlin
A strategic thinker who sees the big picture but understands the details that matter
Passionate about technology, architecture, and building scalable mobile platforms
Experienced in setting and maintaining architectural roadmaps
Comfortable balancing innovation with proven practices
Strong communicator and collaborator, able to build bridges across teams and domains
Driven to share knowledge and mentor others
Extensive hands-on experience in the Android ecosystem
Solid understanding of platform-specific constraints and performance considerations
Experience with modularisation, CI/CD in mobile, automated testing, and code quality practices
Track record of driving architectural alignment across teams and products
Ensure that you, and your team, adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations within your direct responsibility and control. Ensure any non-compliance incidents within your team are raised through the appropriate channels (Compliance Incidents Process) and that your team are informed of any reporting processes relevant to them. Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group. Ensure your team's completion of all mandatory compliance trainings within the set deadline. Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.
